Kent Sinclair is an experienced attorney, arbitrator, and cybersecurity professional with a deep understanding of the legal and technical aspects of privacy, information protection and cybersecurity. He received his law degree from the Yale Law School and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Kent serves as an arbitrator on the commercial disputes panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
In 2023 Kent was again recognized as a business litigation “Super Lawyer”, and was also recognized as a “Go To Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, and as a “Top Lawyer” for Arbitration and Mediation by Boston Magazine.
Kent has a deep understanding of digital forensics and cybersecurity, developed through his work as an attorney and in the non-legal role of Boston Office Managing Director for a leading global cybersecurity consulting firm. As a cybersecurity professional Kent provided strategic and technical guidance to companies and their attorneys on data security and privacy issues. He led the technical teams responding to numerous significant data breaches. He also oversaw engagements involving comprehensive security risk assessments and worked on a variety of digital forensic investigations in support of lawsuits and internal investigations.
Kent established Sinclair Law LLC in order to meet the growing needs of middle market enterprises and emerging companies concerning the increasingly critical issues of cybersecurity and privacy, as well as to address technology and intellectual property related business disputes, by consistently providing high-quality, responsive, and cost-effective legal services.
